Lamar Porter, J.D.

Board Member

    Lamar Porter is s long time resident of Little Rock, AR.   He is married to Debbie Porter and is graced with children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.   He practices law part time now and has been a trial lawyer for over forty years.   He likes to help people. 

    Over the years he has served on several non-profit boards, including Zion Youth Shelter (Alma, AR),  worked as an advocate for children (CASA) while in Fort Smith , was on the Little Rock Boys and Girls Club board, and currently is trustee of Lamar Porter Field in Little Rock (named after his great uncle.    

    He graduated from Little Rock Catholic High in 1971, attended Hendrix College and graduated 1975, and in 1978 graduated law school (with honors) at the University of Arkansas in 1978.   While Lamar has no military/first responder experience,  he worked closely with law enforcement while a deputy prosecuting attorney for Sebastian County.

    He is proud of the fact that his grandfather was a Lt. Colonel in the Signal Corp serving in Europe and was one of the few officers who was entrusted with the invasion code for D-Day.

    Rally Point Nonprofit Council is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions are tax-deductible as allowed by law.

    RPNC serves as a statewide backbone organization that strengthens nonprofit organizations and wellness professionals through collaboration, capacity building, shared resources, and coordinated mission support across Arkansas.

    RPNC is governed by an independent Board of Directors and supported by experienced nonprofit, business, and community leaders. All programs are conducted exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, and no officer, director, or member receives private benefit from charitable funds.

    RPNC is registered as a charitable organization with the State of Arkansas. Financial and governing documents are available upon request.
