Lamar Porter, J.D.

Lamar Porter is s long time resident of Little Rock, AR. He is married to Debbie Porter and is graced with children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He practices law part time now and has been a trial lawyer for over forty years. He likes to help people. Over the years he has served on several non-profit boards, including Zion Youth Shelter (Alma, AR), worked as an advocate for children (CASA) while in Fort Smith , was on the Little Rock Boys and Girls Club board, and currently is trustee of Lamar Porter Field in Little Rock (named after his great uncle. He graduated from Little Rock Catholic High in 1971, attended Hendrix College and graduated 1975, and in 1978 graduated law school (with honors) at the University of Arkansas in 1978. While Lamar has no military/first responder experience, he worked closely with law enforcement while a deputy prosecuting attorney for Sebastian County. He is proud of the fact that his grandfather was a Lt. Colonel in the Signal Corp serving in Europe and was one of the few officers who was entrusted with the invasion code for D-Day.
