True North Mercantile exists to support the work of Rally Point Nonprofit Council by creating a tangible way for individuals and communities to stand behind nonprofit leaders and organizations doing meaningful work across Arkansas.

 

Mission Alignment and Purpose

True North Mercantile & Dry Goods is a mission-aligned, for-profit enterprise created to support the charitable and educational purposes of Rally Point Nonprofit Council. The enterprise is designed to reinforce RPNC’s work as a backbone organization, strengthening nonprofit capacity, fostering collaboration, and supporting wellness and resilience initiatives.

True North Mercantile exists to support nonprofit leaders, wellness professionals, and mission-aligned organizations by providing a responsible, transparent, and compliant funding mechanism that strengthens the nonprofit ecosystem and sustains long-term community impact.​

Structure, Oversight, and Compliance

True North Mercantile & Dry Goods is legally separate from Rally Point Nonprofit Council and operates under the oversight of a Board-approved Director. One hundred percent (100%) of net proceeds are dedicated to advancing RPNC’s exempt purposes.

No officer, director, staff member, volunteer, or other individual receives any private benefit, profit distribution, or personal gain from this enterprise. All activities are structured and reviewed to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state nonprofit law, including requirements related to private inurement, private benefit, and unrelated business income.

The Board of Directors periodically reviews True North Mercantile operations to confirm that activities remain mission-aligned, financially appropriate, and consistent with Rally Point Nonprofit Council’s charitable purpose.
