The Nonprofit Community Resiliency Index (NCRI) is Rally Point’s statewide picture of nonprofit capacity, community need, and organizational resiliency in all 75 Arkansas counties.

It is not a list of EINs. It is not for sale. It exists so leaders stop guessing where the sector is strong, where it is thin, and where collaboration or investment would actually move something.

Better information. Better questions.

Why it exists

Arkansas nonprofits are already in the work. The missing piece is a shared map.

NCRI was built so the sector can see, in one place:

• Where nonprofits are located

• What kinds of organizations serve each community

• Where organizational capacity exists

• Where gaps and unmet need sit

• How resources are distributed

• Where collaboration would strengthen the response

• Where capacity building or new investment is the next move

You cannot strengthen what you do not understand.

What it measures

The index uses more than 17 public data points and is built to grow as reliable sources come online. Categories include:

• Number and distribution of nonprofits

• Assets and revenue

• Nonprofit density

• Community demographics

• Economic conditions

• Community need

• Organizational capacity

• Access to resources

• Regional nonprofit infrastructure

• Other public indicators of community resiliency

The score is not the point. The picture is.

Who it is for

Nonprofit leaders — see the ground you actually stand on, and who else is standing there.
Community leaders — read capacity and need in your county or region without a consultant deck.
Funders — see where infrastructure is thin before the next RFP.
Public agencies — know which charities and community resources are already in the footprint.
Researchers and planners — compare capacity and conditions across the state on a common frame.

A public good

NCRI was built to strengthen Arkansas communities, not to package nonprofit data as a product. The organizations that generate this value should be able to use it.

The index does not decide. It keeps the room honest.

The dashboard

RPNC is building a county-level dashboard so this is usable, not academic. Users will open a county, compare indicators, see patterns, and trace what is driving resiliency — or the lack of it.

Built for Arkansas

Nonprofit capacity in Pulaski County is not nonprofit capacity in a Delta or Ozark county. A 75-county index makes both the differences and the shared problems visible, and gives organizations that usually work inside their own zip code a common language.

How this serves the mission

NCRI lives under Rally Point’s Strengthen vector.

Rally Point Nonprofit Council exists to unite and empower Arkansas nonprofits to work together, strengthen their impact, and last. The index is how we see the sector we serve — so capacity building, collaboration, and investment are aimed, not hoped.

The work continues

This is a living tool. New reliable data will be added. The goal is not a perfect score. The goal is a picture useful enough that a director, a county judge, and a program officer can sit down and point at the same map.
